Allyson returned to the Angels. She also has the same coach, and most of the girls are the same. The first few practices, she was a little sad (I think because her cousin wasn't playing with her this season), so Mom had to volunteer to help out on the field, so she felt more comfortable (She has such a tender heart.) Allyson has really improved in her batting, and fielding. Her favorite position so far is Catcher, and 2nd base. She is so fun to watch. I love this age when there is no competition, just fun!!!!
Dad is also playing softball right now. A bunch of his buddies from work put together a team with the City Rec. Center. Due to hunting and injury, he has only played a few games (not that he is missed, since there are 17 players on the team.) But now that hunting season is over, and his foot is feeling better, he should be ready to play. Let's just hope he doesn't hurt anything else, he is getting old after all. Just Kidding... :)
Austin has been playing Flag Football. His team is the Titans. He has learned a lot this season, considering he didn't know much about the sport, only what he had learned in P.E. We chose Flag Football, since there is NO contact, and that was important, since he only has one kidney. He plays on defense (5 on 5), and does a great job pulling the opponents flags. He has a great coach, and some fun teammates. He is learning a lot, and having fun. And in my book that is what's important.
We'll you can see now, why we are never home, and why Mom always looks so tired. BUT no complaints here. I am thankful that I am able to support my kids in the activities that they enjoy doing. It's been a fun and safe season so far, and I hope it continues to stay that way.
