After 2 years in our new home, we are finally finishing our backyard. We have been slowly working on it over the past 2 years, we have poured a large patio, and a small basketball court, but so far there has only been dirt and a brick wall to stare at. For the past few weeks we have been laying sprinkler lines, leveling dirt, removing rocks, building planter boxes, and hauling 8 tons of dirt. It has been a lot of work, but we are finally seeing progress, and my vision is coming to life. (I really imagined a pool, but the budget wouldn't allow that.) Tomorrow we will be laying sod, and over the next few weeks we will be planting trees, tomato plants, veggies, flowers, bushes, and installing a fountain. I can't wait until it is all done, and we can enjoy our backyard. Here are a few progress photo's. I will post more when it is completed.
Jeremy's friend had access to a trencher that they used to dig the sprinkler trenches. Boy did it save a lot of backaches. Thanks Wade!!
Jeremy digging out a huge rock, the yard was full of them.
Austin was such a big help to Jeremy.

Logan playing on the pile of dirt.
The kids loved making slides down the dirt pile. The neighbors kids loved playing in the dirt too. I'm sure their parents love us now.
3 Great Men Hard at Work!!
It's hard to see with the shadows from the house, but you can see some of the wall.

It's coming along. Sod tomorrow--yeah! BBQ at your house!
Yeah! I bet the kids are so happy! I hope it all goes smoothly for ya.
That reminds me of us putting in our backyard. SOOO much work! At least you are smart and are doing it in the spring, not the middle of the summer like we did! It will totally be worth it.
