We celebrated the 4
th of July in
Panguitch. It is always so fun to go there and enjoy the small town festivities, and the great outdoors.
Panguitch Lake is only 20 min. from my parents house, so after Sunday dinner, we threw the poles in our truck and headed up to the lake. It seemed like a long time since we had gone fishing, and the kids were so excited! When we got there, the weather decided not to cooperate, and it started to rain on us, but that didn't stop us from fishing. The kids were troopers, sitting in their chairs trying to catch a fish in the rain. After about 30 minutes of sitting in the rain, and no luck, we decided to drive around the lake to a different spot and wait out the rain. It finally stopped raining, and the kids had fun fishing and trying to catch Minos in the shallow water.

The next day was the 4th of July. Every year Panguitch has a fun kid parade, where the kids get to decorate their bikes, 4 wheelers and scooters and ride them up and down main street. It's a lot of fun for the kids. I think the hi-lite of the parade was when a little boy who was probably about 6 went riding by on his scooter screaming AMERICA ROCKS, AMERICA ROCKS!!! It was so cute! Oh, and the handful of candy was pretty nice too!

We spent the rest of the day walking through the cute shops on main street, eating ice cream from the new Ice cream parlor, playing card games and just relaxing. The night ended with us sitting in our car watching a wonderful firework show while it rained.
It was so good to get away, and spend time with our family! Happy Birthday America!
